Down the ocean

The words fell
From my mouth
And sunk down
The ocean
--
The last time I saw her
I let her win
My wings disappeared
And I had no fear
Up in the sky
She moved mountains
She painted with colors
Her eyes had never seen
The world didn’t know about her
As much as she knew about
The mysteries hidden in my skin
I saw the lifeboats
Blowing away into the water
She told me blue
Was the color that suits me
She said the ocean would worth
A thousand dollars if it was full of secrets
I couldn’t breathe when she said we had to hide
She painted mountains in the sky
She mixed colors with her eyes
But her arms could no longer fight the air
Her strength was taken away by dust
Under the water
She stared at my chest
She knew she was living in the corner of my head
Right there
At the edge of things
We want to forget
My emotions had always been a mystery
Sometimes she’d call me sleepyhead
She said I let everything go because I’m a fool
And that I can’t feel anything without her help
I told her that’s not fair
That I could care about the ocean
If I only knew what was down there
--
The first time I saw her
I set her free
She told me he had been taken away by emotions
Water in his lungs
Colors in his eyes
She told me mountains are like dust
If you believe you can move them
And that all kinds of colors exist
Even if you can’t see them
--
The last time I saw her
I let her win
--
At the center of my head
Is where she now sinks
From my soul to my heart
There’s where she ends
And I begin
